I have a Windows 7 laptop which is a client of my home domain. The kids like to use it and don't like logging in with their username all the time. When a Windows 7 machine becomes a client of a domain you lose the Welcome screen which displays the last logged in users and instead you get the classic login.
Fortunately you can restore it through group policy; this is described here.
